These threads never cease to amaze me. When 99.9% of a player's time in a season is spent AFTER lvl 70 why are so many players in a rush to just get to 70? Does it make a difference if build A gets there in 2 hours and build B gets there in 4?
I absolutely am doing season 10 despite having all stash tabs. I am not a hoarder and never have been...never will be. For me it's just about the challenge of starting over with nothing and seeing how far I can get. If I make it past Conqueror (and sometimes Guardian), then fine.
I got 9 beautiful sources telling me that Diablo 4 is delayed by 5 years!
Adding "beautiful" made me laugh. What...you have met all these "sources" face to face and they're models? I really want to let everyone know my post is NOT full of shit, so let's see...credible sources. No. Reliable sources. Nope. Beautiful sources!
I like the idea of leveling up Primal Ancients. Grinding would have more of a ongoing purpose then. Kind of falls into the Path of Exile skill gem idea where you level those up. In fact, how about just introducing a brand new set of Legendary Gems called Primal Gems? These could be added in three new slots: Gloves, Bracers, and Boots.
Hey everyone - just wanted to post my two cents on some things. We all want powerful toons. We all want to play efficiently and get the most bang for our buck - timewise. How many threads do we all see titled - what's the new meta? Help me decide what build to play, etc. etc. I am totally guilty of going the cookie cutter route myself in several seasons. But, this season I am opting to trying a build I have never done before --
I saw the guy post a video from the 2.4.3 PTR and he cleared an 89, so obviously the build is viable. But, I mention this deviation in thinking only because I encourage others to just do whatever the hell you want to do. Be different. Be creative. So you do not get in the top 100. So what? We are not playing for money. There are no prizes. It's a game. I play with friends who do the same thing every season - same build and class. Does it matter? Of course not. They have fun doing that and that is most important. But, what I am hoping to gain by forcing myself out of my own comfort zone (I always play Monks - be it EP, tanking, or WOL) is to become a better player. I'll have to adapt with this wizard build. I do not play wizards, so this should be interesting.
I think the extra stash tab is great and all - I always feel good when I earn it, but honestly -- on the NS side of things, I look at how much crap I have accumulated in stash and it's not that much. I guess I just am not that much of a pack rat. Hehe. Not one in RL either. I'd like to think the bottom line for most of us for seasons is simply the challenge of starting from scratch and pushing to a point where we hit a wall with our toons. Blizz could offer us nothing more than poop on a stick for completing a season journey, and a player like me is still going to want to start from scratch because the alternative NS play is pretty boring - i.e. been there done that.
If they just do a prettier D2 with 3D graphics I would play it for sure. BUT...how cool would it be if they tossed in a larger inventory on the character, a shared stash, and then some other quality of life improvements?
It's kind of nice to see a cute animated Diablo on the Battle.net launcher to tie in with the Virtual BlizzCon ticket. I just noticed they added that change this morning. Not that it's a dead giveaway that Diablo fans are getting big news soon - but taken with the job posting and everything else...who knows?
I plan on doing a WW Barb in season 7 since Wastes is the freebie set. It's perfectly suited for farming, and then I'll push Greaters later and turn him into a Frenzy Thorns build.
