Well growing your one weed anyway is a risk usually not worth taking. Most people get caught doing it cause they use those heat lamps all day to keep the plants warm. And they usually fail before they even sprout cause people don't know what to do with the seeds so they just bury in the dirt and water them before even germinating them.
My pot smoking days are over though. I haven't done it since I was like 21. It just got so boring. I don't know how people go on doing it all their lives. Teenagers, well they'll be typical teenagers and get high and be boring themselves.
Not really. My friend has a marijuana plant or two in a lizard cage thing, and you wouldn't even know it's there if you were not looking for it. Granted, cops would probably be looking for it, but I don't know many cops that just randomly come by for a visit. Lol.
Cops don't find it just by randomly stopping by your house. They use infrared cameras overhead in helicopters to find them. And they're pretty good at spotting suspicious looking light sources in homes where you wouldn't normally keep a light on most the time. Seriously.
If I grow my own weed I'll get more high off it for psychological reasons?
And I mean, obviously if you grow it yourself you can be sure it won't have additives and chemicals like it could if you just bought it from someone else. But weed is still weed.
Also, your study here is far from conclusive. It's merely saying there's evidence that it may stall the onset of Alzheimer's. You were saying you cannot even get it by smoking pot. Perhaps you just didn't mean to say that exactly.
Geting high is influenced by your actual state of mind. Geting high is very psychological. It can be amplified or the opposite, just by your thoughts.
Clean weed is better than just weed
Yea the link i provided wasnt that good, but hey if you google it you will find many other articles about this issue. I mean, there is a clear connection between the usage of marijuana and some certain deseases.
Marijuana is illegal for a reason and shall remain illegal for a reason. It's bad for your body, bad for the public, and a waste of time. I consider it on the same level as ciggarettes actually, but they're all disgusting in their own special way. Find a new hobby (banging, safe banging) pot-smokers because no good comes from it. If it was legal, America would crumble. Boom, hows that for above the influence kids
I don't think you really have any place passing judgment on "the public" or imposing your "values" onto other people. People can make choices about their lifestyles and habits for themselves, it's not yours, or anyone's place to tell others how to live their lives.
Personally, I had a 1.6 gpa in high school, nearly had to repeat my junior year. I had been prescribed ADHD medication though I don't have ADD I just hated school like most kids, and thanks to the pharmaceutical industry hundreds of thousands of normal teenagers, usually boys, are cracked out on amphetamines because they didn't see any value in memorize historical dates when you can just look them up on google.
I did well on my SAT's, got into college, started smoking weed, stopped taking ADD meds. I got a 4.0 my freshman year and transferred to a much better school. It has taken me roughly 2 years of regularly smoking to get rid of the anxiety which I think was caused by being on amphetamine pills for 4 years when I shouldn't have been. My GPA is at a 3.7 now and I'm interning for a congressman this spring in DC (hides personal info).
I probably would have dropped out of college had I not started smoking and had continued taking those pills.
I've been charged with possession twice (in my home state, not picking up after your dog's shit in a park is a 150 dollar fine, possession of 28 grams of marijuana is a 100 dollar fine)
Anyone who thinks I'm a criminal or a loser for smoking has their values completely off.
Marijuana should be legalized, taxed, and regulated. There should be efforts made to keep it away from younger kids, but honestly a bag of weed is easier to get than a 12 pack in most high schools.
So do you really like using billions in taxpayer dollars to arrest normal people who choose to smoke marijuana?, instead of raising billions of dollars in tax money and saving people billions in prescription drug costs for drugs like xanax, oxycontin, klonopin, and other expensive anti-anxiety and pain medications who have serious side effects (potential long term psychological effects as well). Marijuana is free to grow, it's illegal for money reasons. The beer industry in California is campaigning against legalization, just imagine what big pharma companies are paying to keep it away from people.
Anti-pot people, you can frankly go %$^@ yourselves
Yeah I really find it funny how a bunch of chemical crap is legal despite often having side effects marijuana won't even dream of, not to mention they're chemical as opposed to natural...
Weed effects everybody differently, it enhances so many things for different people, simply allowing certain parts of your brain to be used more effectively, not that I know anything about brains though.
With me, since I've only done it twice it is hard to tell the side effects from a personal view and I'm 14, I believe I just feel much more relaxed. No worry, no thoughts that conflict, nothing.
Anyway, what I wanted to get on was that Weed can actually improve your intelligence levels rather than dulling it like somebody pointed out. It can be good to study while high because your body might not see studying as a boring or uninteresting activity and your mind will automatically make whatever you are studying a fun subject.
Oh and they should just legalise weed already. It's such a stupid freaking argument because if someone like Jetrall just jumped out and did what he did here but IRL, there would be no winning on the other side whatsoever. No matter how much they try they can only counter if they try to play mind games or throw stupidity back at them, which unfortunately seems to work with the masses.
I'd also like to say that the polluted air we breath is probably worse for our bodies than weed is... if it isn't illegal to pollute the air like they do then it should be legal to get high on a substance that Azriel pointed out to be an equivalent of breathing the country air(FRESH), should it not?

It's all been said. The pun, the not so funny joke, the phrase, something about oneself, the not so random picture.
I'd like to grow someday, just to see what I can produce and if I can make a hobby out of it. If it becomes legalized, I could start my own company on top of my job and have a fancy growing rig set up so I could concentrate on my work without having to worry as much about my plants.
I mean, you can get so much off one plant (minimal yield is a little over half a pound, and that is a lot), why not grow your own and bypass all the dealers and crap? If it's legalized though, I might just grow it so I don't have to shell out money when I don't want to. I'll gladly walk into a store and buy it, but if I can grow my own and make it last, I probably won't want to go to the store (unless I'm buying papers, lighters, ect).
That's the major problem I see with monopolizing marijuana: many people can just grow their own, thus getting around the tax entirely and making as much as they want for a much lower price. There are plenty of underground seed banks, so it's a no-brainer that people would get a few seeds for around $50, grow it, and have about $4,000 worth of product when they're done.
I would like to see how a proper initiative would combat this issue because I'm actually pretty concerned about it. It's a very valid issue because the common census of legal marijuana proponents is that the fed can just monopolize it and tax it, but given the scenario above, how is the fed going to see it as a good investment if people can just grow their own for a fraction of the price? That would probably turn off the idea to them altogether.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
But when you have 10+ heat lamps running 24/7, there is.
I wasn't thinking of growing enough to feed the whole neighborhood. o.O (Though, I don't know how much of a plant it takes to make a joint, I have never done Marijuana. *Shrug*)
Are you saying they may not find much of an incentive to legalize for tax income because people will grow it a lot themselves anyway? Many may grow it, but plenty still wouldn't want to deal with it so they'd just buy it. Marijuana is not that easy to grow. Even if they legalized it, it would still be highly regulated. I mean, there ARE rules against making your own alcohol. The same would apply for marijuana.
Oh shit nonono, didn't mean like for personal use.
But was talking more along the lines of what Siaynoq was talking about, there was actually a drug bust around here a while back because the police checked the hydro bill of this one house, it turned out to be absurdly high.
They checked it with the infrared camera, and sure enough, the roof was showing way more heat than any other house.
One lamp wouldn't do shit, hell, a bud of mine grew his own in his house for years, still does, and has never been caught.

"One in every 10 million people can potentially have a headache from this pill." God forbid she is the 0.000000001% of having a headache.
The Police usually looks for the big time growers... You know, people who grow so they can sell. If you grow just a plant or two, you can get massive ammounts of weed for your own personal use. And im pretty sure cops wont bother with just a few plants.
In Czech Republic they legalized Marijuana grow on private property. You can grow up to 5 plants i think. Anyway a freind of mine that lives there told me that since they passed this law drug dealers dont sell weed anymore because everybody has their own stuff. So its kinda good. But you know, drug dealers sell all kinds of other crap so...

I never had weed, but I can only assume that I would have the same preference there as well, as that aspect is psychological.

Legalize it, and tax the living hell out of it.
BAM! We get to pay our debt to China.
Note: By no means should this post be taken seriously.
