Its going to be interesting how many people are going to come on the site and ask so what did the magazine say blah blah blah,
I dont want to burst anyones bubble, now think of this for a minute and I am being serious, after everything that has happened the past year, with announcements and things and domain changes blah blah blah, how the rumor mill is in full tilt, what if blizzard was talking to the mag and said to write something like that or something (of course paid them a shit load of money or something)
because they know people like us would start something once again, and then boom the magz sales go higher and higher, and well blizzard gets talked about more and everything
so in a sense it could be a "prank" to F*ck us over once again
I hope I am wrong I really want a Diablo III but I am also thinking in another term right now
what do you guys think of this scenario?
I think that is a lot of unnecessary effort just to fuck with the fans. Sure Blizzard likes to leave us hanging but they do it in there way not through other channels.
I don't think by CENSORED they mean because of bad language. I think it's because it's about an unannounced game, therefor the game name and all related content and such would be censored so that the surprise wouldn't be spoiled.
Its just too hard to wrap my head around what could be such a HUGE announcement from PCgamer. I dont feel like any new IP would be the source of their excitement, it just seems to point to some sort of sequel or related game that people have been dying for....... such as Diablo 3. There really isnt anything else that comes to mind.
If anyone can think of a huge announcement like PCgamer implies that would get them this excited please post it. At least then we can try to speculate on the possiblities.

sorry to go on a tangent, but if you guys are familiar with SurferGirl's blog, then this speculation goes hand in hand with her.
It was on her Dec. 15, 2007 post, and i quote, "The next Diablo (probably titled Diablo III) will feature a single-player component (akin to previous titles) and an MMO component (less akin to previous titles), will be announced sometime next spring summer and is still on track for release before decade's end."
How did the editor let it slip? In person or through issue #153?
Edit: Why isn't their website updated to the latest issue? They stopped updating it december last year.
edit 2: ohh, i see the latest issue now. its a little box that i thought was advertisement at first. man, they aren't very good at keeping their website up to date.
so in a sense it could be a "prank" to F*ck us over once again
You clearly do not understand what the purpose of hype is. It's not to fuck with the fans.

Obviously. For there to be huge announcement, people have to anticipate it. And you can't anticipate a new franchise, so it has to be something which people are familiar with.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
It's always nice to see how fast hype builds up when there are enough rumours out there.
Anyway, the PC gamer sneak-peak is composed of 85% optimistic thoughts and 15% possibility. They could be talking about any game really.
What interests me more though is the other sources mentioned in this page, now that is a little more directed to an actual D3 announcement. Also on Argumentis quote, notice how he editor says to wait till #155, it's as if he's admitting there IS already an article done about it... so there you go what in my opinion is the most relevant clue so far for a D3 announcement...
PS:Btw I'm in a hurry to pack things up because I'm off for a trip now and I didn't have time to read through all the coments on the link with that post, so if there is anything explaining the editor's sentence I have not read it yet, so forgive me for any misinterpretation.
Blizzard and Activision are merging. The merge is already approved and I believe it should be complete sometime around July. Activision Blizzard is going to kick ass and take names basically.
Anyways, really praying for D3. Can't wait for the WWI, or August..

perhaps... but the timing seems too perfect dont you think?

Right now it's summer of 08, and it seems about right (I sure hope so).
Her video game industry inside info has been real good. Too bad she's not blogging anymore.
I'm gonna miss you SurferGirl. T_T

[Censored] is likely 'Hell'. Rather than a company's name.

the editor guy said that last line.

D3 is coming...

"Have to wait to PCPP#155 for that one, sorry! Lich King next time though!"
So the next issue features SC2, issue #154 will feature WotLK, and #155 may potentially feature DIII.
Sounds possible.
Fark i'm sick of waiting...
A lot of places consider 'Hell' a Curse word.
Your Best proof is there at the Xbox.com forums. You type Hell over there, it's censored!
It's from December 2, 2007
Anyways, really praying for D3. Can't wait for the WWI, or August..
