Without PKing, you remove a Core part in the game. In HC mode, whats the POINT of playing if there is no serious challenge to it? Thats basically making it the same as normal but if you get a little cocky over some demons, your fucked. HC was MADE to be suspending. Its taking the suspence outta the whole Idea.
Sure it sucks to get killed, but thats what pushes you to do better.
Yes, but if you don't go into public games, you don't interact with this community thing I keep bringing up... this is supposed to be a cooperative game yes? The community aspect is to allow a decently friendly interface for all people, be it new players, or veterans looking for others to explore the darkest depths of hell with. Why should I have to curb my behavior, one that is encouraged by Blizzard, just so I can be assured that my entertainment won't be ruined by something that supposedly cannot be helped?
So your idea of "community" is joining 8++ KILL COWS FAST! games? I figure you'd have a much better gaming experience if you actually joined some of the pre-made battle.net channels to find players with like minded interests. From there, you make a private game and do your thing.
You can also join a clan of pve individuals and group with them, again in private games.
As I said before, when you join a Starcraft public game and somebody imposes some imaginary rule like "NO RUSH 15", there's no way to enforce it. You are constantly going to have people doing their own things. Now if you get several friends together and play a game - you can enforce whatever rules you want.
There's plenty of community outside of doing a /random 100 and picking a game from the list based on that. In fact, I can ensure that you can enjoy the carebear gaming style much more effectively by making friends in this game and playing with them, not relying on public games to do it.
Though to direct your question back at you, why should you have to curb your behavior? The same reason you are trying to make me curb mine.
Make PvP and PvE realms. Problem solved. Carebears go to one, real players go to the other and there isn't an issue ever again.
Oh for the love of God. Can you stop talking to me? I don't even want to associate myself with someone like you anymore.
I played a PvP server in WoW until lvl 70 (yes you literally get camped for hours sometimes) then I got bored and quit, but yes sure I'm a carebear because I'd rather focus on playing cooperatively than stupidly having to make my games private and hide in town when a higher level PK comes in.
Ganking was stupid on WoW, I dealt with it. Do I want to have to deal with it again? No, not at all.
It's not that I CAN'T adapt, because I did. In D2 I stayed away from PKs for the most part, it doesn't mean I should have to change my harmless minding my own business gameplay so some griefer can get his jollies off knowing he disrupted another good time.
It show's just what the majority of PKs are about.
Deceiving, using third party programs, expecting people to bend to your flimsy excuses like "it's a gameplay mechanic!", reveling in others grief because it's "humorous", ambushing people when they are unsuspecting, and expecting people to completely play solo/private games just so you get what you want.
Why should one person get what they want over multiple others complaining when they get killed by the one person?
They shouldn't it's not debatable if you have any common sense. More people = more people to sell products to = more profit.
You want to PK that's great we get that. Blizzard will decide now what happens.
Now, can I leave without you trying to make some passive aggressive comment towards me?
Look man you deserve what you get when you play in public games. Your experience can be way more rewarding by joining and clan, playing with people with liked minded interests. You're not forced to play in open channels, which is where you are going to find most of the trash.
AGAIN you stated you want to be left alone by high level players. Hello? Level restrictions? CLICK THE DAMN BOX IT ANIT THAT HARD
I have nothing against you other than the fact you seem unable to recognize that by doing simple things like making private games, having level restrictions, and playing with friends are ways avoid PKs all together AND make game play better because of it. YOU have total control.
This might sound like sour grapes but plain and simple PVP can KMA I HATE PVP with a boundless rage that could single handedly bring the prime evils back from the dead. PVP was the reason I stopped playing WOW, PVP was the reason I stopped playing Ultima online and PVP was the reason I stopped playing any of a dozen of other games over the years. If I had a dollar for every time was in a nice friendly B-net game and some Cheating PVP @hole popped in and slaughtered my group I could afford to have Bill Gates mow my lawn. If I had a nickel for every time I started a game titled PVKnotok and had people Join and Harp about wanting to PVP me and my group or complain that it is there God Given rights to kill anyone they want to then Warren Buffett would be washing my dishes, heck if I had a Dime for every time I found two or three good solid players with low ping times and we were rocking Hell only to have some USDA choice Grade A rumpnuggett with a name like gotzyrearz pop in go hostile and follow my group around being a being a pest then Sam Walton’s kids would be waxing my Car. I am sure there are good PVP’ers out there and I am sure there are PVP’ers that know when they are not wanted but I sure as all H E double hockey Sticks haven’t seen them. Been Playing Diablo, Diablo 2, star craft since the first week it was out never meet a PVP I liked so sorry to all the good PVP’ers out there but I am lumping you all together as bad eggs. such huge post for nothing. You realize that not only WOW has PvP, but every online game that exists right?
+who the fuck will stop some imbecile coming in and killing everyone for his own absurd and to the normal world pointless satisfaction!?
And change your color, it fucking hurts my eyes!

Diablo 3 is graphically and artistically great, there needs to be variety in the game, instead of only plain and dark areas!
+Wouldn't it be better and more interesting if from a sunny beautiful day, mist starts covering the screen, rain starts falling, thunders and lightning striking and it starts to darken, instead of constant dark!?

Sounds like you should probably stick to single player games.

Sounds like you should be playing with barbie and ken dolls...
I will say it again: I, myself, would not begrudge anybody from wanting to go PK'ing. It has always been a part of BOTH games. In D1, I had quite a collection of ears. ENTIRELY FROM DEFENDING MYSELF. In D2, however, it seemed like every other day there was a random PK'er coming into an open game just to kill me. I wasn't using the same char name so it made no difference. Hard to find a friendly group of people if everybody seems to be UNFRIENDLY. I stopped playing MP because of that. Which is why I would want an option for MP where you can enable/disable PK'ing in the MP game that is set up. If you guys want the risk of it, then you don't have to enable the anti-pk feature. That way you will never be bored. Every PK'er and their mothers will be coming to your game to pk you and whoever else is there. Those of us who prefer a non-hastling game of MP with friends can enjoy it without a problem.
Again, I don't want to take it way from the guys who WANT to PK. I just want a way to keep it out of MY Multi-Player, and anybody else that doesn't want the choice, if I don't want it. If PK'ing is so popular I'm sure you guys wouldn't have trouble finding MP games set up for it.

A person after my own heart thank you. look for my PVPnotOk games in D3 anytime I have found some wonderfull people out there its a shame that a few bad eggs spoil the soup.
The argument that we should be able to set games to PK or not is not viable. If that is implimented then everyone will set their games to non-pk and then the only games that will be PK-able would be duel games.. or games that will eventually be turned into duel games because PKers only have a choice of 1 or 2 out of thousands of games which they can join.
Why can't you people accept that you might get PKd once every 2 days.. its the damn game!

To counter question, why wouldn't you be able to accept that people might NOT want to be PK'ed once every 2 days and how do you think that EVERYBODY would set the anti-pk setting? ESPECIALLY if there are so many people really wanting to have the thrill of random PK'ing into the game? If so many people DO enjoy the aspects of PK'ing, then there would be alot more games than you say that would be open to such. Again I'm not trying to remove the aspect from the game. Only have things where if people do NOT want the risk they should not be forced to endure it and have bitter experiences in the game. Another option would be to set up PK'ing PvP servers for this, though a more expensive option for Blizzard.
