while i agree with you Gealic, on the other hand the more requirements they put in the more people will fail to meet them which increases my chances of winning, so I won't complain
I think that Blizzard is regretting the fact that they initially claimed Christmas 2011. If feels like they were overly ambitious and now they are trying to pacify us by throwing these little games at us every week or so to make up for the fact that they are not as close to release as they thought.
IDK, maybe I'll get lucky and get a beta key. Then at least, I'll have somthing to do while I wait at least another month.
More stalling for time while the GRB decides on the RMAH. I wish Blizzard would just tell us like they did on the Korean Bnet site.
At this point, they owe us a lot more transparency about what's going on instead of "oh, we can't release yet? give them another contest/artwork/artisan page update/insignificant news/etc".

The game is ready, the RMAH is not. Technically the RMAH is legal in Korea but the GRB is still taking it's time deliberating on it. Blizzard most likely didn't account for this.
Looking at the timeline of events, all these announcements and delays (the book of cain) happen right around when something happens with the GRB stuff.
I'm glad there's another opportunity to get a beta key at least.
Sure this means January is out of the question for release, but we've all known this for at least a month or so, right? Since Blizz usually announces release about 2 months beforehand...
Anyway, according to Bashiok's post from earlier today they are still shooting for an "early 2012" release date.

It has nothing to do with the RMAH. There's absolutely no factual evidence tying the current state of the game to anything going on in Korea. They aren't going to delay the launch for a piece of the game that isn't required to play.

Ok I am bad at twitter, anyone knows what exactly I need to write in a tweet?
i think you can tweet what ever you like as long you mention @BlizzardCS and use the hashtag #DiabloBeta
But what does "hashtag #DiabloBeta" mean?
So I create new tweet and write this: "@BlizzardCS #DiabloBeta"
Is is enough?
It might be? They didn't really mention (well) what or how we should say it.
I just tweeted this half jokingly since I wasn't sure what we *should* say: @BlizzardCS are the best and not just because of #DiabloBeta. They are also really good at arts and crafts
At this point, they owe us a lot more transparency about what's going on instead of "oh, we can't release yet? give them another contest/artwork/artisan page update/insignificant news/etc".
They don't owe us anything.
This is kind of annoying everytime I read these kind of comments.
I'm more inclined to say they DO owe us, considering we are their customer base, I understand that technically speaking they don't need to tell us anything about their products, but its flat out bad business sense to treat your customers like nobody's who you don't owe anything too.
Sorry WITHOUT US THERE IS NO BLIZZARD,
We as customers and investors enabled them to make these games and products, we as customers enable them to make a living from what they do. They owe us everything.
PS: I've been in beta for a few months now, and I want a release date cos ive exhausted the beta content
Patch 9 didn't really seem like it had any major game changing content. I'm inclined to think that the game is pretty much done. I wonder if the problems lie within the RMAH itself, and not just the legal issues with South Korea.
You should have listened to players like Sixen months ago when you proposed that terrible effing runestone idea for starters. I understand if they just wanted to release a polished game, but they've been wasting our time with vague hype, a beta only a tiny fraction of people are even allowed to test for a tiny portion of the game which gets beyond old after a week of play, extremely slow updates etc.
I'm still going to buy the game but holy fuck. Seeing the way they're handling this "generous giveaway" is really pissing me off. OVER 5 FCKING WEEKS, AFTER NUMEROUS HINTS AT A VAGUE RELEASE DATE, WE'LL HAVE FINISHED THE RMAH TESTING ON THE BETA, THEN MAYBE CONSIDER A RELEASE DATE.
But wait no, they're giving away a whopping 500 beta keys over 5 weeks, HOLY SHIT MY LIFE IS COMPLETE. That only leaves MILLIONS of potential players pissed off wondering exactly how much further blizzard is going to economically hold back yet another game.

Thx for the update.
Ok fair enough
>follow bliz
Again, fair enough
>tweet bliz with hash tag
Seems legit
>email hurrdurr@blizzard.derp

Thanks Caniroth for the awesome sig!

If my fingers were crossed any harder, I'd need surgery to seperate em' afterwards.
Only downside, is January release is definitely out, and Id say Feb as well. March is kinda iffy imo, so I'll go with April.

If anyone ever get a second extra beta-key, I am a taker! And I would be really happy
Good luck!
I know I didnt
Nope... And I don't plan on getting one either lol
