you shouldn't need burst of speed at lvl 20
what is your primary attack going to be? figure that out then figure out what lvl bos and ias you need to use that attack at the fastest rate possible.
i'd suggest 1 to burst of speed and let it come to lvl 10 or so with the skills on your gear. (depending on what you use)
use a fast speed claws (talon type) with a bit of ias on your lead claw and you should be able to hit every last breakpoint on any assassin attack.
weapon block maxed is a bit of a waste since it has diminishing returns. most people either get it to 56% (lvl 16 with gear) where it starts costing 2 skills to get 1%, or to 60% (lvl 26 with gear)
high or low lvl shadow master is a preference thing, but she is not gonna do well as your only means of damage.
stats depend on your gear.
i think you need some other damage. (how are you delivering your venom?)
edit: oh, are you using chaos ww?

I usually just put one in Burst of Speed and let my plus skill items bring it up. The same goes actually for Weapons Block. I've never heard of anyone putting more than one in it. It's a passive skill which is nice, but I'd certainly not rely on it to save my life or anything. And it's only as good I think as your Hit Recovery is. I'd just put one in it and go really high on Dex. I'm not sure why you want Venom if you're not spending much on Dex though.
Shadow Masters unfortunately aren't good for much. They're not gonna kill anything and they're certainly not going to tank. Which is a shame really. I think most classes should have a summonable unit that can tank.
I think any kind of Claw type Sin should be really high on Dex and life leech. I'm assuming you'll be using claws anyway since you're maxing out the mastery for it. There aren't really many Sin builds that use claws that can do very much. But they're still a lot of fun and still my main preference for a build. Just make sure you can hit your target almost everytime and that you can fill up your life really fast from each hit. Your life leech by the time you get to Hell should at least be fifty percent.
I'm not sure why you want Venom if you're not spending much on Dex though.
using venom + open wounds + crushing blow is great damage even if your actual physical damage is weak.
you can supplement your ar with fools claw, visionary helm, chant, angelics etc.

i agree that they won't kill anything, but high level shadows are ok tanks if you bo them with cta.
haven't done a sin with high lifesteal and dex since 1.09, but im sure it's viable if you say it is.
it's not the only option however.
as i said in previous post i agree with you on the bos and mostly on the claw mastery points (though i do think it can save your life particularly in player vs player scenarios)
edit: i think the biggest issue with his build is he either needs at least 1 martial art or some traps

What do you mean by diminishing returns? Also what is Ias. Sorry I'm brand new to this game.
What I was thinking was venoming my weapons then doing fast attack at the same time. So it's possibly like a barbarian with frenzy but poison added to weapons? Then having a shadow master to distract beast so I have less to deal with.

I was trying to get as much health out of this build as possible. Yes claws.
I could add traps to the build. Is the lightning one good? where you place the things on the ground and they shoot.

well that explains some of it.
IAS is increased attack speed.
as for getting a build you could search online for a good build in the new patch.
i dont know how to make sins, i made one and she sucked pretty bad...but im sure you dont max burst of speed, venom, or shadow in either build.

For my particular melee Sin build, I actually would build my trap tree just until I got Death Sentry. Lightning Sentry is no good unless you are really just a Trapsin and want to put lots of points in it.
Death Sentry isn't exactly the best either. And don't expect its lightning damage to be useful. But its auto corpse explosion can be really nice for fighting huge crowds. I have my first weapon configuration on my claws with my Dragon Claw and Phoenix Strike with my second configuration always on Death Sentry.

I already have a level 90 sorc.(could say i'm way too addicted to this game).
But I put way to much in energy and not enough in vitality. I have like around 400 something vitality and 900 energy and magic finding gear which sucks for anything.

I wan't to make a frenzy barb but not exactly sure how much should go into strength and dex.

Not a good idea to bother putting 20 into the passives as diminishing returns will make that wasted skill points espically with all your gear on....fade is great to you will have a couple points to pump that...and since you wont need that many points into those skills due to diminishing returns you can go hybrid into traps(good idea) or martial arts(terrible idea)
This is a build for a wwsin tho right?
Quote from "applesoffury" »
enough str to wear the heaviest equips and enough dex to hit? since frenzy requires two swords(?) no need for extra block...right?
anyways, 2 lightsabres or 2 bloodletters or 2 shaffers and its awesome!
Thats terrible advice
For a frenzy barb(even tho there not good) get enuff str for gear that gives str then let that help you get the bigger stuff on. you dont need dex except for your gear requirements, thats it....no reasont o pump it beyond seeing you obviously wont have a shield
Do not use any of the weps he said....use berserzer axes that are either, EBOTD, LWZ, GRIEF, BEAST, DOOM, EDC, and maybe a properly runed.jeweled runemaster...not sure wuts best on a frenzy barb really tho but those are the best melee weps in the game easily(might be missing one or two tho)....

Christ he just started the game hows he gonna get botds? 2 ls is all you need to solo hell, they have good dmg and leech, and have elemental dmg for the phys resist monsters. if he wants to pvp i suggest he make another barb.

haha yeah if hes just starting that might be a bit much
This brings up a valid point I think. People do tend to dispense with advice as if everyone has this encyclopedic knowledge of builds and equal amounts of access to the hardest to find items. Then people even get into talking about frame rates and I'm like, "Zaaa?"
most people who ask for a build are either new to the game or new to a class, its hard to distinguish between the two.
my first barb when i started d2 was a frenzy barb (albeit i didnt know what i was doing so i added like 15 to frenzy and 10 to whirlwind...) but with 2 lightsabres i was mowing down cows easily. frenzy barbs are pvm build only though...

Well the game has been out for almost 10 years now and most ppl asking for builds probably have built up a fair amount of gear even if they have only played a few months....and frame rates arent hard to figure out

a trapsin is a pretty easy build and cheap to make, just get mind blast and set traps...
