I went to the great cursed walmart last weekend and found a game on the shelves that ive never seen before it was called Archlord and it looked ok. Anyone know anything about it? is it new or is it just ive never seen it before?
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

i was a beta tester on that one. Its pretty much like LineAge 2. Ok graphics, decent gameplay, bit weird way to control the character. Questing seemed bit weird too and the looting was pretty much like Diablo 2, which isnt that good for an MMO (i kill the uber hard mob, someone comes and ninjas the loots - weak). Anyway, i'd take WoW (especially now with Burning Crusade) over Archlord anytime of the day.
i just sent an application when i heared they were doing a beta. And i didnt get paid, i mainly did it to get a background in testing so that i'll have more chances on other games i'm more interested in (Blizzard games for example).
i was wondering, because my friend is going to beta test halo 3. he says that his wage will be 50 dollars an hour, for four hours a day for whatever time. i dont know if he was telling truth, exagerating, or was being played into giving his email to sites. ill come back in a week with the news, but it is definately something i would like to start doing.
There is no way he is getting paid. There are literally millions of people willing to kill their own parents (figuratively speaking ) to beta-test Halo 3.

there always are some paid beta testers but they're very few and they dont have to play it "only" 4 hours/day. I once read about one of them and he had to play more like 8-10 hours/day to find bugs about gameplay, clipping errors, even misspelled things. Anyway it should be my dream job too, thats why i keep applying
any seen the movie "grandma's boy"? hes like a 30 year old guy who test video games for a living. I think that movie depicts what it would be like if u were a career video game tester
Idk i think i would be happier making games then testing them. It would just be more satisfing to make and shape a game and then test it. What i mean is most makers test and make the game at the same time.

But when you are a game developer...you have deadlines for certain projects to be completed. If they make a game...then test it...and find something wrong, they have to start all over again.

I've been a beta tester for Codemasters before, but never heard of this game. I'm also beta testing the new Lord of the Rings Online game - it's pretty sweet, but like a lot of LOTR games out there it's based on the book. Now, I love the books and all, but... they're a little slow paced.
Anyways, getting off subject. Please continue discussion on Archlord.
