First time I've played this build, and I'm currently in Act I Nightmare. If any of you are experienced with this build, it would be great to hear your comments, since I couldn't find a decent, in-depth guide to this build (Strangely enough, right?), so here goes nothing.

Well, as with any Bonemancer, you're gonna max Teeth, Spear, Shield, Wall, Prison, and Spirit. The synergies they all get from one another sort of kick ass.
One point into Amp. I personally like spending Curses up to getting Life Tap. Corpse explosion, just one point, Clay Golem and Mastery one point.
I know the basic strategy, I'm just posting where I'm at right now to see if I'm perfectly on track. A Clay Golem right now would literally last 2-5 seconds in battle, so it's redundant, and too expensive at 2 points (Golem/Mastery). Curses will get their share later on, to get to Decrepify.
Oh no! See I thought the same thing about the Clay Golem at first too. After awhile though of getting your +1 to all skill items, your golem becomes a tank with over 4000 hit points and he also slows enemies down with his attack.
Bone Shield you want because it adds synergy bonuses to your other bone spells.
Anyway, Mephy, if you can manage to get more standard gear, make sure you only get as much strength as you need for all your gear, and invest the rest in Vitality. It's a broken system, but you might as well take advantage of it, because it works

Bone Wall and Bone Prison? I barely use Wall to get out of sticky situations, but Bone Shield will get enough points into it. And sure, I'll try your Golem technique, I just got frustrated and abandoned it seeing as how my Golem started getting anally molested in Act II Normal.

My Strength is at 81..I got 21 from my current equipment. Now I'm raising my Dexterity a bit, but of every 5 stat points, 3 always goes to Vitality.
Note: I forgot to mention that I also have a "Stealth" Field Plate.
Ball Wall and Prison are actually great spells that can be used very strategically. But that's not even why you want to spend points on them. The higher they are, the more damage or Spear and Spirit does. You do understand how all the synergies work, right?
Not only does Bone Wall/Prison become a useful skill, it will become essential towards the end of Hell considering you're playing Single Player. Another great tactic -> Bone Prison + IM + Bone Spear from distance.
Looking at your list, I'll confirm your thoughts of getting a Holy Freeze merc. You want distance between you and targets, so slowing them down is a good start. A Clay Golem also slows whatever it hits down by a bit, and can take a beating after some +skills. Good to keep focus off your boner.
If you're really lacking a good helm, look up "Lore" (if it works in nonladder). Same goes for Stealth (armor), I don't remember stats it gives, but its so cheap to make that monsters may as well drop it assembled to save the hassle of getting the runes in the right order.
I have Stealth equipped, I just forgot to put it into my initial post. I want to get Lore, and eventually Rhyme, Lionheart, and such. I'll get to Iron Maiden, which I reckon would be better than Decrepit.
It has been a while since I played, but the necro was pretty much the only character that I played, and I must say that I pretty much mastered it.
It would help if you gave us your base stats, not the stats with all your gear.
Stop putting points into Dex, and put them all into Vitality. You will need hp first and foremost. Take it easy on the strength, I believe 118 str is the most needed for a perfect boner build, which can actually be achieved mostly with charms and gear.
Concentrate on putting points into bone spirit and spear first. You will need to be able to deal a lot of damage before you can even consider going to Hell.
Leave teeth alone until you get either spirit or spear maxed.
Put points into bone prison before bone wall.
Put points into bone armor last, preferably only 1 point so you can max the other skills. You won't be able to max all the bone spells because there simply aren't enough points to go around.
1 pt in Clay Golem
1 pt in Golem Mastery
1 pt corpse explode
1 pt in Iron maiden
1 pt amp dmg
The one point wonders are for handling the rare situations when you encounter immunes and extra strong, extra tough enemies.
And that should be everything you need.
You need to practice the tactic of having bone prison at the ready whenever you enter a new area. Fire it as soon as you see an enemy, and then switch via F keys and spam your most damaging spell. If it is 1-3 enemies, spirit. If it is 4+ enemies, spear. Teeth will come in handy later on because it can get you out of some sticky situations in Hell, especially when you have 20+ teeth spanning 180 degrees. A nice thing is that the Act II merc can hit through the prison with his spear, and most enemies don't have the range to hit back. Use your merc and golem as your defensive line when the prison breaks, so you have time to switch back and fire another prison. Fairly simple strategy, but real fun and you will be able to fly through hell once you get it mastered.
My Base Strength is 81. My Spear is maxed, and now I'm maxing Spirit. I just got Lore, so my spear is at 30 at the moment. I'm doing pretty well with my Bone Wall, and I'll work on getting IM, Clay Golem, and all that later on in the game.
In Act III Nightmare, playing with /players 8 and having absolutely no trouble. I actually killed Duriel, using only 5 Mana potions, and no Healing/Rejuvination potions.
I'm kind of gangsta with the Necro, I just load up on recruiting members who have my back. Do my bidding my pretties! But I get a little bit of poison nova to deal with Diablo and Baal. Bonemancer, that's a great name.
How come you guys are discussing PNB builds? LOL they are as well know and cookie cutter as hdins really cept for maybe how some ppl throw there points into some curses and summons......
20 to teeth
20 to bone spear
20 to bone spirit
20 to bone wall/prison or 10 to each regardless it dont matter
1 to skeles summon res and one to each mastery and clay golem....some ppl go for revives cuz there crazy
1 to decrip
You could also go the route of max dmg and max ALL skills for spirit and spear but for pvm some into summoning helps

Dol Io. I haven't MF'd really, and only did around 5 Baal runs in Normal, so it's great that I got those items.
Vegas, I wouldn't really like that build, since it isn't very specific. Or did you mean 60 for the poison spells, then the remaining 50 into summons?
