Well apparently there were pictures taken but they have yet to be released. Probably because he was shot in the head, so theres that. Not to mention that showing images of him and his burial (which have apparently been taken) could make people more likely to retaliate. And in order to identify the body they compared it to a bunch of his relatives that were on file and had one of his wives visually confirm. And the President was watching it real time, along with his staff. So thats how any superiors knew what was going on.

As for why he was buried at sea, apparently a group of nations were asked to take his body and turned it down, so a burial at sea was the only option for a speedy burial, which is part of Muslim tradition.

You know, I'm having a very difficult time believing that Bin Laden was found and neutralized with a SEAL Team Six squad like it was nothing. If you're an internationally known and wanted terrorist, so much so that children aged 6 years, and the elderly aged 90 years know you and what you've done and would gladly shoot you on sight, would you really hang out at a place that is any less secure than a military base?
It didn't happen like it was nothing. They received a report in August saying that he might be near Islamabad, and it took months to find a way to confirm, which they eventually did through tracking a courier known to be one of Osama's trusted messengers. And most people in that area wouldn't shoot him on sight, which is why he was there in the first place. Not to mention that securing a place as well as a military base would make you a prime target for Predator drone strikes or cruise missiles, which you can't really defend against. So he probably had to balance between not having too much traffic in and out of the area, or it would become a target even if the US didn't know Osama was there, and being defended. And its pretty hard to defend against well trained Navy SEALs with air support when all you have is a group of guys with AK47s and RPGs.

Well he did say they aren't promising anything, but it would certainly be a nice solution.

still, Jack. Taking pictures to gloat in case of success is quite normal. As you said it was a covert op. If it was a failure, they simply wouldn't make it public. ;)
I'm not saying that I don't wish there was pictures and I definitely think its weird that we haven't seen any yet. I'm only saying that it does at least make some sense that covert ops CIA guys wouldn't bring cameras.

Yea, but Saddam was stumbled upon by a squad of Army guys, not CIA people who went in knowing it was a covert operation. Yes, the Army guys were looking for Saddam, but it wasn't supposed to be just forgotten about in case of failure.

Well it was a CIA covert operation. If it hadn't killed Osama we probably wouldn't ever have heard about it, so why would they take pictures? And their not going to air pictures of his dead body either.

No, each character has their own look. Even if a WD and Barb are wearing the exact same armor it will look completely different. So technically theres more like 18*5=90 armor looks, across all classes. But theres 18 for each character. And I think Legendaries will have their own looks, so depending on what legendaries you have you'll look different than other people playing the same character.

Well deaths to his lieutenants had an impact on bombings in the area, so it would probably have a similar impact. But in the end, most people have no idea how Al Qaeda works, so its hard to say. I still like knowing he's finally dead.

Yea something like that. Its basically the same system as D2, where theres a bunch of items that have the same look, but you don't 'reset' your look each time you beat a difficulty.

Its probably/definitely going to be announced at Blizzcon. If its coming out 18 months after WoL (like someone said when it was released), it should be announced soon.

Yea it could work, but its also a mechanic that kinda requires gold to be like it was in D2. If people are too tight on money they won't want to potentially waste a bunch of it when there are plenty of options to get guaranteed loot for your money.

Good lord. I'm so sorry I dismissed this as a fallout ripoff. :P

I'm definitely in. Looks really fun.
I know right? Thats pretty much exactly my train of thought once I saw some footage of the game. And id is obviously great. Too bad their going for a T rating apparently, but it still looks pretty violent.

Good sign overall, but not in terms of bugs :P Don't get me wrong I love Bethesda, but their games can be buggy. This one isn't open world though.

I think what he was referring to was that sets are composed of legendary items, not that they have set attributes. Not that what you said isn't true, though. But I'm pretty sure what Bashiok was trying to say is that items in a set (aka green items) will be just as good as legendaries. As in give the same amount of attributes and be just as desirable (depending on your character/build).
