Do people ever just get excited about things? I guess I am a casual gamer because I totally do not look at features in an analytical way. I look at something and think about how it will add to the immersion, story or my gameplay experience. How frustrating life must be when things that are inherently fun and for leisure become points of contention and unrest in the eyes of those that play the games. What is the point? A lot of it also seems to be contrary for the sake of trying to play devil's advocate every single time something is shown.
From my standpoint I am very much excited to have the followers be added depth to my solo play experience and story of the game.

Download link? I know iTunes is on the way but I don't use iTunes. Even a mediafire upload would be good -

Impressive. That's the sort of thing you pad a résumé with. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I kind of wish once you've found a lore book it is added to an account wide journal.
I'd like to sit back and listen to them together but know they are currently spread between multiple characters

The reason for my shift in perspective?
I'm exploring again. With the changes to density it makes me want to explore and discover what each little cave and nook contains again. Now of course I'm finding new, efficient paths but coming back to Act 1,2 and 4 I am feeling nostalgic for the first few days of playing Diablo 3 in beta and at release. I'm stopping to appreciate little art details or lore books again. Inserting my own personal experiences into the overall story as I've done with all my favorite rpgs.
It's also made me very excited for the future of the game and what the expansion will hold. I know that even some of us optimistic fans shared some disappointment with what the game was at launch. But now I am feeling better at taking it in stride and being excited for Diablo again. Just a really nice change!

I think both have their easier and more difficult aspects. I think it's a shame we see so many gravitate towards traditional wings when the Sanctuary angels have such an interesting twist. Cool drawing for sure though

That being said, these developers where far too resistant to creating the game they have inevitably been arriving at after all this feedback from players. They tried to sculpt a limited experience and assumed it would be enough after over a decade of waiting. I'm sorry but what we were given and have been drip-fed since post-launch hasn't been up to the standard that company created from previous titles. Blizzard's hubris killed this project. In my own semi-negative opinion of course

This exactly. They were an amazing company for a long time, but nothing last forever. Such a shame...

This game simply took far too long to arrive at the conclusions it came to and as we have seen they continue to try and steer it away from where the previous game was while invariably returning to its principles after seeing that it was probably a good route to take in the first place.
They are intentionally obtuse and resistant to the idea that Diablo 2 (while clearly a title worth improving and building up from) was at its core a very engaging game for a wide range of gamers. They were far too determined to creating a game that stood out from its predecessors rather than something that felt as if it was a natural next step in the franchise.
Why not pair the stellar, smooth gameplay they have created in D3 with some depth and character?

This game certainly has smooth, frenetic combat down really well vs TL2 and PoE, but those games feel less afraid to try things and grow from feedback in a way that feels like the developers and the fans are cohesive and not at odds.
I mean really, we still do not have a finished version of Diablo 3 vanilla.
