Now this is just not fair. Talk about contradicting your own rules. When other people posted this "speculation" of a release date on the forums all those topics were blocked. Why do you have the rite to post this and we do not?
I disagree with what you are saying. I think it's a good thing they posted this - on the main page where a lot of people where see it - because too many people are seeing fake release dates and getting super excited and spreading it around thinking it's a real release date. This post is bringing to attention that a lot of these dates are indeed fake, and people need to watch out for them. Basically telling all those gullible people out there to smarten up and stop being silly.
I guess there is a difference when someone posts a thread saying OMG THIS IS THE RELEASE DATE! vs when someone posts a thread saying it's speculation. Either way, I think the comments in those threads always end up going in the same direction anyway.
As for me, I'm not believing any release date until I hear it from Blizzard. I didn't know when to expect the game originally, and when the beta started in Sept, I had a guess in my head that it would come out in March 2012, based on something that Jay Wilson had said (that the Beta will start 6 months before release). I was actually surprised when they said originally they wanted it out this year and they had to push it back. I had no idea they wanted it to come out so soon. So really, I think it'll come out sooner than I expected, which is nice for me.
Yes, but the thing is I did post a thread called exactly: "Speculation: Potential Diablo 3 Release Date".
http://www.diablofans.com/topic/31092-speculation-potential-diablo-3-release-date/page__p__695023#entry695023
But that got blocked, it had the exact same intention as this thread does and did not for one minute say that the release date was true. So as you can see, I do feel kind of betrayed by the fact that this thread was created stating that the release date was merely "speculation" and that the moderator who blocked my thread said that the rules do not permit "speculation" threads. So, I stick with my case. =)

That sounds really cool. I would love to see these types of weapons in Diablo 3. Something unusual and out of the ordinary to get players excited and make the constant search for loot even more rewarding and intriguing. =)

As I do not know which AH I will be using or if I will even use them at all... But I can definitely promise that within the next 5 or so years of playing, everyone would have used either AH by then. =)

But will this current system be able to play Diablo 3 on the highest possible settings with say 40+ frame rate. I know the system specs aren't out yet, but I want to enjoy this game to the max without any graphical lag whatsoever. =)

So here are my system specifications at the moment:
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+
CPU Speed: 3.0 GHz Performance Rated at: 6.75 GHz
RAM: 3.0 GB
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
Video Card: GeForce 9600 GT
Free Disk Space: 280.9 GB
So from these specs, what I am looking for is a new video card and ram. I do not know which ones to get, I don't want anything to expensive. I don't know which ones will work on my computer anyway. (I'm not a hardware genius, in fact I don't know much about computers at all lol). I know that their are different types of RAM such as DDR, DDR 2, DDR 3 - I have no clue what they all mean or which ones my computer can handle.
So what I am asking is could you guys help me and suggest some graphics cards and ram that will work with my computer and will allow me to play Diablo 3 on the highest settings with excellent frame rate. I have played Crysis 2 on this system and it worked on high settings with a decent 20 or so fps. I tried to play The Witcher 2 - but that worked horrible (low settings gave me like 10 fps). I do not want anything too expensive please.
Please and Thank You. =)

I can see myself playing for a lot longer than 3 months. I don't like PVP and will not be playing it at all. Its the PVE that I am getting this game for, who gives a flying !@#$ about PVP. (My opinion)

The skill system is a huge change from Diablo 1 and 2... Yes it shocked me a lot and i'm still coming to terms with it. But I can definitely see the advantages. I'm not going to attack the devs for any of these changes (except that 1) and cannot really say how it will effect the game until I play. It could be bad, but i think it actually may turn out for the better. =)

I disagree. It is the randomness of Diablo 3 that will keep players playing. You can go through any stage that could be different to what you've seen before. This is one thing. Another would be the implementation of runes. Once you reach 60, there's a small small chance that you will have all the best runes, you can always find better ones with this random system - not to mention if they incorporate that new rune system where each rune is random.
Another thing that will keep players playing is the random loot. I enjoy doing boss runs and just running through levels to find more powerful loot.
The main thing though that will determine the longevity of Diablo 3 is how fun the gameplay is. Because if the gameplay is not as fun as Diablo 2 (which i'd expect it to be more so) than i wouldn't bother looking for more loot, doing boss runs, finding more runes and so on. If the gameplay is really satisfying though, I will do all these things because it will be immensely fun to experience kick ass AOE spamming and slaying monsters over and over again. =)
