My stance on the issue: i have always been the kind of person that wants to see everyone satisfied with the outcomes of development. weather it is a computer based gamer or console, we all have that desire to find a perfect game that has "replayability" up the wahoozy and enough epic gameplay to keep our attention for hours on end. i have never understood why there has been such a dislike between comp. gamers and console gamers and i have almost come to the point where i truly believe there is no such thing as a legit reason for this conflict.
For years (seems like decades) console gamers have been drooling over the thought of well known computer games ( For ex. WoW, Warhammer, Starcraft to name a few) being released on their systems. The simple rebuttal which i find most common is the statement of the controls not being able to work because most games are very complex when dealing with computer games. i would like to point out that this is becoming very outdated do to the fact there is a possible set up for xbox 360 controllers to function with WoW interface ( while it might not be as effective in PvP) which can properly be used for convientient use.
I'd like to point out that i am neither a hardcore computer gamer nor a console fanatic (i own computer games that i am addicted to (ex. WoW, Age of Mythology, Classic Sonic:D and soon to buy diablo 2, as well as being a prowd owner of a xbox 360) i purley would like to post this thread for a debating the subject of the possibilities of D3 being released on the consoles. Keep in mind that I would love to see everyone walk away happy.

The other threads that you showed me are a bit outdated
It has recently come to my attention that a game that is very similar (sacred 2) in gameplay to that of diablo has a an exceptional controller layout for the consoles. But I would like to also add that sacred 2 has had very minimal publicity yet in its ratings it has recieved some very welcoming positions.

Well, it would seem that members are leaning towards the more heavily controversial and, consequently, heated discussions as of late. I am warning everyone in advance that this topic can lead to flaming, trolling, and off topic posting very easily, and if I start seeing it in excess, this thread will have to be closed.
Since the discussion has been done to death over the years and every argument for or against it has most likely been cited by now, it would not be a major loss, though I am not condemning the OP for posting a new thread since the other ones are old.
Just a warning.

For Diablo 3 i think it would be hard to move your character properly because of the overhead view. Theoretically the Wii could do it cause the remote could act as a mouse but u would have to be good at controlling it.
There are rumors of proting it but they wont confirm nor deny and it would yes be hard to get in all the functions you would be able to have on acomputer.

Yeah, I think it was Mike that commented in an interview that maybe on the next-gen consoles if they include proper input devices by default so that Blizzard can offer the best experience for everyone.
There are mouse and keyboards for consoles yeah but so many people have been bitching about the badly made mouse input especially in FPS games because they have to make it work perfect with the default which is a gamepad.. meaning mouse lag etc which you can also see in some console ported FPS games when playing with PC and its highly annoying.
Its more like absolutely pathetic when a developer decides to put his game on the PC and the mouse support is stupidly broken, and an FPS of 1 lower than the norm starts creating some huge and stupidly retarded mouse lag that didn't exist 15 years ago.
*cough* Fallout 3 *cough*. And plenty other recent PC title ported from consoles to PC. Sorry, just venting.
First and foremost, this topic is already done.
Second, consoles and PC hate each other because they will forever be counter intuitive to each other. Development for PC will always hinder Console development and vice versa. They both offer different things and in my honest opinion, -are made for different games-. Anyone ever played a game like Mario or Metroid and thought "damn, I want a keyboard for that"? Maybe Nintendo is the only ones getting that part right. Even your average FPS shouldn't exist on consoles. But I digress. They are more fitting than some things...
...such as Diablo.
Third, a game is never perfect in both consoles and PC. It is better on one or another. Always. Basing this on past experiences. Generally, the better is the one that gets more focus, obviously. I find that there is absolutely no point to waste -countless- hours on a "port" to get a worse version of a game, simply to have it available on another system.
Fourth, Consoles sucks. They shouldn't exist. If the world didn't try to screw people over so much, people would realize PC are not expensive. If consoles didn't try so hard to create their own stupid gaming world, the PC would simply be what anyone would need for gaming. Everyone could play the way they want, mouse or controller, or WHATEVER, all in the same place.
But nooo. The world is so stupid, it must split everything apart. Well so be it. Consoles are not getting Diablo 3. End of the line.

Yeah, well I have a feeling that the next-gen consoles will remind hugely a PC.. only difference will probably be the fact that you can't upgrade the hardware.
I really wonder that why don't console manufacturers make updated versions of their consoles.. like "this new edition has better graphics chip and cpu". The game developers could make similar graphic options for the console games that they make on PC so the ones with newest editions could turn the graphics up.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

.... haha just being a smart ass.... yes, you are correct, they do not develop for consoles.
And as such, this thread is resolved. Closed.
