Jetrall, very nice! May I suggest something though? Instead of the question mark shape in the fire, maybe try to add an "F", so you can incorporate it directly into the name Firebolt. I'd draw it up but I'd feel like mine would be to similar to yours! An I have to go wait in line at the DMV for an hour.. Better get on that.. <_<
“We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.” - Albert Einstein
What do you think of this Magistrate? The firebolt with the O could work as a smaller logo.
I like that you worked the concept into the name, but... Hrm. It actually says Torchlight to me more than Diablo. Maybe it's in the simplicity of the flame? (Maybe I should do one for Torchlight--I love that game.)
If you choose one that you like, I can work on integrating it w/ text (such as the above example) or just choosing a nice font to go next to it. I'll try a variety of options, of course.
Agh, this is a tough call. The one below looks much more Web 2.0, but I'm not sure if that's the look I should be going for. The current design of the overall site, with the exception of the search bar (I haven't done anything with it for a while), is much more grungy.
I guess logos are supposed to be clean and simple. Maybe I'll reapproach the overall site design with something lighter and cleaner.
Edit--
Now that I think of it, I think I like the first one better.
Update
Guide profiles no longer show a preview of the guide's respective link. It simply caused to much trouble to pin down with any reliability for every possible URL and account for the desires of the respective webmasters.
They now contain all the search keywords of the guide (you can click on each of these to start a new search based on that keyword), as well as an indexed list of possible related guides.
Coming for this Feature - Show guide's keywords on profile.
- Allow report guide function from profile (currently on search results.) -Show guides with related keywords (sorted by number of related keywords and then number of hits.)
- Provide banner image from profile that can be posted anywhere to advertise each guide.
Other Updates
- Coming soon: New Firebolt logo.
- Coming soon: Site redesign.
Honestly, I don't see why D1 support is relevant. The concept of a build is to allocate limited resources for maximum efficiency. In D2, this takes the form of a limited amount of skill points, stat points and a huge list of randomized items.
In D1, everyone can get max stats and max skills. Items are still a limiting factor, but there's not nearly enough variety to spawn any amount of interesting builds. Everyone does the same thing anyway, so one can't really talk about builds the same way in D1.
Don't bother with it I say, much better to devote that time to more d2 features. Besides, name 10 d2 builds. Now name 10 d1 builds...
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I dunno I gotta say I like how Jetralls has the question mark integrated, even if its less apparent in the newer versions. I mean it's a search engine. Caniroth's is really good looking but I think it may be a little too epic for the style of the site.
My thoughts exactly! The only reason I might add "support" for Diablo I is that I'm going to work on making it so I can easily click some settings and add a new game through the CMS. (Diablo III, Expac 1, Expac 2, possibly mods.) Under (or next to) the search bar, a drop-down menu will appear with all of these game options so it knows which tags to search through. Diablo I, II, III, expacs for three, and mods for all three. (I'm just going to have Diablo II combined with xpac since I'd have to go through a hundred builds and discern that at this point. They can add a tag for classic if they want.)
Updates Big graphical update! Pictures speak for themselves.

Guide Profile
I big thanks goes to Jetrall for the new logo! It's been the inspiration for most of the graphical changes so far.
Clicking "Back to My Search" will now display the keywords in the search bar (in addition to displaying the search results below). You can also link to search results just like this.
(I also added a new script in the control panel so I can actually delete guides with a single click, as opposed to having to go through my host's website control panel and issue SQL queries.)
Other Updates
- New Firebolt logo. (Thanks, Jetrall!) - Site redesign. (Underway)
Looks awesome! It's probably lined up correctly but because of the weight it looks as though the search bar is slightly to the left. You could solve this by maybe making the bar longer?
Also the white text on pale yellow at the bottom is hard to read. Are you going to update this for D3? You could be getting a lot of traffic soon.
- It was a tool tip sort of thing... it might not always appear.

Here's mine w/ some text...
Is that Coolvetica? Looks sweet.
Mmm. Well, it'll depend on what Seth has to say I guess (in regards to whether to go with that shading or not).
Coolvetica - yes. I modified it very slightly, but it's almost 100% straight Coolvetica. I like it.
I actually like this one a lot because it reminds me of the Scroll of Identify skill icon and the Fire Bolt skill icon mixed together.

Now, that is very nice! I like it. Any way you can think of working the flame into the logo? If not, this is fine.
Haha, thanks, though It's a little too much like a tag for my needs. Interesting concept! (You're much better with siggies :xD:)
Get back to writing articles--you're much, much better at that Thanks though. I'd have to agree.
Looking at all of the options (thanks!): I'd have to go with Jetrall's. Unless you had any other ideas/versions you have handy?

I know I know!
Well, I made the DFans logo, so I'll take that as two compliments rather than just one.
Also, the resemblance to Curse's logo was unintentional but somewhat fortunate, IMO. I think it makes sense.
And I yours. It's more in keeping with the darkness and fire of Diablo, whereas I went with the 'simplicity' of a handy search engine sort of feel.
