As always, great post.
I'm very happy with the skill point changes, in d2 it was always the same, get prerequisite, put points in this ability for twenty levels, and now put my next twenty levels in my other ability. Most of the time if felt like filler, I feel this a a nice fresh approach.
With the "auto stat distribution" at level up I think this is a chance you might actually feel some power increase at each level; unlike D2 I normally didn't notice much difference unless I finally got the gear upgrade.
I'm very happy with the new theoretical rune approach. Current version = yay I'm uber in my first week... now what? The new approach will allow for more longevity and an opportunity to try some of the other rune abilities I would normally not try. People also seem to be unsettled at the idea that this will be a waste of a rune, but it could enhance one of your other abilities... maybe not your focused skills but I don't think any rune will be a waste.
This would likely be great for early to mid game, end game may be a pain with the greyed out feature but if you actually find the proper abilities and stats you want it will be that much more fulfilling, i.e. if you found a zod every 2 hours of game playing in d2 = flooded market and everyone would be bored in a month. I remember the first time I found a Ber for the first time, I was buzzing for days.
I can understand people's frustration on the unknown rune type, the only two cents I could offer would be keep the rune colors visible but make the "more sought after" runes less likely to drop to compensate. I'm also loving the random stats, adds more flavor for the trade community.

Oh great now you will get him going.... again.
Back to topic I am all for super glow awesome visual effects for completed sets. As for extra glowing per piece I thinks that’s overdoing it, you would just get a mish mash of so many colours it would probably look awful. Unless you’re playing on a 70 inch screen I doubt you could even notice each individual piece properly.

In anycase sorry for off topic mods, I'll gladly take the infraction on this one.

Provide a link of the post you started. It's hard to believe you and only you realized how bad itemization was in this game... you must be some kind of superior form of life.

At least you're giving me a laugh, not many posts going on in the fourms right now and I need to kill thirty more minutes.

Game breaking indeed, the only time I'd think this would be "unfair" is if I was in PvP and a guy in farmer clothing and a pitchfork was kicking my ass. Please explain how someone who at one point had x item and made y item look like x item ruin your game play? Are you mad when a Wizard in Barb gear is killing things faster than you and you nerd rage wondering WTF??? Troll harder please.

I think fixing these properly will be a decent overhaul when it almost seems that these abilities should just be removed since they actually take away more choices then what they create.

I'm just saying it's impossible to verify how much income is saved by DRM. I am well aware of the many possibilities piracy can be viewed. I had to write a paper on it in my Information Systems class. Long story short I was in favour of pirating

Some savings is better than none, but I agree it's impossible to quantify the actual savings. In many cases with pirating people didn't have the disposable income to purchase the game in the first place.

If you were really serious about you need to build an argument and explain every little detail to get popularity. This eventually leads to Blizzard paying attention as it has happened to a couple of members from this site. What I see is you basically said “I want to push more buttons” here is my 30-60 minute worth of effort to address the issue. I think itirnitii explain the problem better in about ¼ the amount of words, now you need to figure out how to redesign 14 abilities and make them appealing enough to use but not overshadow other classes or other abilities.
Anyways I’ma stop being a troll now and piss on someone else’s thread

If it's really that much of an issue they should remove all these from the game or add these abilties as standard passives that don't take up slots, e.g. 30% damage reduction being monk/barb.
The whole reason why I'm usally bitter about these threads is the are such a small issue in the big picture. I remember when threads were being started because people where upset over the WD resource being called mana and not mojo... give me a break.

Rend does crit but it doesn't proc crit based abilities, make sense? I know about thrive on chaos, I just wanted to point out that even if you run out on your timer WoTB should have lasted long enough to no longer be on cool down and a simple recast when you run into elite packs is more than enough if you didn't manage your fury properly. I didn't fix my response quick enough but basically everything we talked about was pointless because all these are active abilities and not active passives.
Different game different mechanics, battles can last for 20 minutes, in diablo battles last less than 1 minute. Refreshing buffs in a WoW rotation makes 0 sense.
It’s still a resource management, you need to pay attention to keep your buffs up, and there is some skill involved albeit basically none. If your buffs drop off in combat and you die because of it you didn’t manage abilities properly.
More buttons to push isn’t ideal in ARPG (at least for me). I’m fine with a 3 button rotation and keeping extra abilities for situational circumstances, it becomes very clunky to press 6 buttons all the time… I’d feel I was a monkey slamming down on a bunch of keys pretending to play a piano (CMWW anyone).
Considering they can’t even add a chat feature, cut out many other promised features, and have a lot of core issues with the game yah I’d say they can’t implement it anytime soon. Are you actually software programmer for video games? Do you know how long it would take to add said feature, test it out and make sure it didn’t bug anything in the current program? Are you willing to do this for free, because it seems that D3 has some very finite resources, e.g. look how long it took to add an ID all feature and that’s even more simplistic that what you’re asking.
This is the best suggestion I've seen. The ability becomes functional, but not frequent enough to be spammed in a rotation, if anything it might be a starter but thats it.

I'm well aware of the "benefits" of DRM, but all in all the main reason why it was created and used it reduce lost sales. I don't care how you slice it or say how good it is for player protection it is a tool that protects their investment anything else is secondary and used for PR fluff. Believe me I love the fact that there is no to little duping anymore. The main point is you can still cheat in D3, however you need to purchase a copy of the game to play and every time you get caught you need to purchase another copy.
Honestly I don't care about DRM, gone are the days of LAN, that’s what consoles are for now.

EDIT, ignore my incorrect rant; however all the things you listed are not active passives. They are abilities with cool-downs and resource management. The only thing barbs have is shouts.
