A little bit expensive, but considering the amount of value I got out of LOD I see it as a less painful form of DLC. You could buy 20 DLC packs from other games and not get the same amount of value you will get from one D3 expansion, plus support and development will still continue long after. There are more deserving companies that need your hatred.

Sep 10, 2012hifiboi posted a message on Interview with AlkaizerEnjoyment levels start to drop after about 4 hours for me with Diablo. When a game is new and I have some spare time, I can go quite a lot longer, but regularly spending 14 hours plus on a game is a bit sad. I love gaming, but when it gets to that level there are definitely more rewarding things to dedicate your time to.Posted in: News
I know people enjoy it, but I don't believe thhey are buzzing after 10 hours, it just becomes mindless and a way of wasting time.
The achievement is impressive none the less. -
Sep 10, 2012hifiboi posted a message on Interview with AlkaizerAlthough a cool achievement, I would be interested as to what this guy does for a living and how he keeps a roof over his head. That's really what I wanted to know from the interview. It would also be interesting to see if he can fund himself purely via the RMAH. Going to work 5 days a week/boxing/flesh friends and having a girlfriend (read: life) kind of restricts my 18 hour playing sessions.Posted in: News

I've been meaning to upgrade for some time, but honestly it runs fine. I didn't even think it would let me play at all, yet I defeated the SK with all characters and only had a framerate issue during the 4 columns fight before the SK.
Possibly later in the game my computer won't be able to hack it, but I am pleasantly suprised.
I don't even know if I will upgrade now, I was only going to do it for Diablo. I almost dropped $2000 on an Alienware 17x, just for Diablo (I require a laptop beacause I live in Japan and travel a lot).
Anybody else running on a system below recommended requirements?
I even upped the graphics to max and it was playable, no choppiness, just slow.

I give it until Friday for some serious information, otherwise I'm buying a PSP Vita and getting my Final Fantasy on to placate my gaming needs for the near future.
Do you guys think I should hold out until the new Nvidia GPU's come out? or buy now?

Come live in Japan with me teaching abroad is awesome, and decent pay for what it is.

Will I still be able to access the European or NA servers? I ask this because I used to play D2 sometimes in Korea and all the item info was in Korean. Will the language be localised or can I adjust it to my preferred country and language?

I just thought it was an interesting possibility for hardcore players, I'm far too scared to play HC, I don't think I could handle losing so much time investment, I most definitely would be tearing the sockets out of the wall if I was about to die.
I'm sure Blizzard have considered this, we'll have to wait and see.

How will the online data storage work? Will the server continually save your progress? I ask this because my internet drops out every now and again, so I don't want to lose my progress. Will the game shut off if your connection fails? I assume this is the case if it's an 'always online' game.

Battery life is not important for me as I will basically use the laptop as a portable desktop because I live abroad most of the year. I heard MSI are pretty good, but I don't know if I can buy them in Japan.
Although I am buying a laptop for D3, I want one that will be good for a few years. I realise D3 will be pretty easy to run compared to some games, but it's always nice to have power to burn for the future.
My main concern is for the next gen GPU's and processors, it doesn't look like D3 will be out anytime soon, so I'm sure they'll be around by then, unfortunately.

The only thing that seems to bug you is your forum members. You bashed everyone for talking about this best buy thing as though they were misguided idiots, then suddenly it's front page news???

I'm looking in to buying a gaming laptop over the next few months. I have a budget of around $1500-$2000 so I want a good one.
My main dilema is that same as every tecnology purchase, should I buy now or wait until the nex GPU's come out or until the Sandy Bridge processors come out?
I'm not very upto date with technology, so any advice would be much appretiated.
I am pretty much buying the laptop for Diablo, so I'm willing to wait until around the release date, I'm not holding my breath as of now.
I live in Japan, which is a possible problem, I can buy the Alienware 17x r3 at my local giant tech centre so this is high on the list, but I think the R4 could be coming out in the not too distant future?
Thanks in advance.

Also, it would also be naive to assume that a major distribution problem is not going to take resources away from releasing the game. That is a stone cold fact, they don't have unlimited resources.
Takes tinfoil hat off.
