A little bit expensive, but considering the amount of value I got out of LOD I see it as a less painful form of DLC. You could buy 20 DLC packs from other games and not get the same amount of value you will get from one D3 expansion, plus support and development will still continue long after. There are more deserving companies that need your hatred.

Sep 10, 2012hifiboi posted a message on Interview with AlkaizerEnjoyment levels start to drop after about 4 hours for me with Diablo. When a game is new and I have some spare time, I can go quite a lot longer, but regularly spending 14 hours plus on a game is a bit sad. I love gaming, but when it gets to that level there are definitely more rewarding things to dedicate your time to.Posted in: News
I know people enjoy it, but I don't believe thhey are buzzing after 10 hours, it just becomes mindless and a way of wasting time.
The achievement is impressive none the less. -
Sep 10, 2012hifiboi posted a message on Interview with AlkaizerAlthough a cool achievement, I would be interested as to what this guy does for a living and how he keeps a roof over his head. That's really what I wanted to know from the interview. It would also be interesting to see if he can fund himself purely via the RMAH. Going to work 5 days a week/boxing/flesh friends and having a girlfriend (read: life) kind of restricts my 18 hour playing sessions.Posted in: News

If he's a troll, it's quite an interesting point he's raised, intentionally or unintentionally.
A $250 item always has the potential to become heavily devalued by nerfs. Due dilligence is king I guess.

I enjoyed the game up until Inferno as the drops could actually be useful and I felt like I was experiencing progression with new levels etc...
If he doesn't enjoy NM then he's going to hate Inferno as it's just a gold grind and thus becomes a time sink with no gratification. Seeing a yellow item drop is not even vaguely exciting, which is so sad for a game that revolves around loot. I am in Inferno act 2 and I haven't seen one item that is useful for my barb.
However, I have hope for future patches, but I haven't played for a while as I don't have the free time to waste running into a brick wall to get gold.

Yeah, I'm selling my stuff for reasonable prices and it sells. All these big numbers floating around, people are just wasting their listings.

I don't think this is tru as my install isn't moving. I have a terrible internet connection at night, so I'm guessing you still need a good stream.

I live in Japan at the moment, but I downloaded the EU version (the 7gb one) I was intending on playing on the EU servers as I thought there could be language issues.
Should I download the Korean version (7gb) and then install to play on the Asian servers? I might as well benefit from having an early release, or can I still install and play on the Asian server with the EU version?
My internet is bad so I don't think I can get the 7gb any time soon.

It's a minor detail, but it does take away from emersement and undermines the polish of the rest of the game. For a company as big and well funded as Blizzard you would expect small things like this to be covered.

I'm a bit of an antisocial gamer because my friends don't like these styles of games and I don't really enjoy teaming up with to begin with because I want to enjoy the story and atmosphere at my own pace.
I'm going to try out the full game and if it's unacceptable then I'll upgrade. I looked at some MSI laptops, they look pretty great, either that or bite the Mac bullet.

I was thinking that as well, the servers should be better too. My computer coluld use a reboot also, I'm sure I could squeeze some more performance our of it.

I think Blizzard have done an awesome job with the game architecture, the lag is still smooth, not choppy or unplayable like with other games. I'm going to test the water before upgrading, I have a trip to Tokyo next week which will wipe out some of my savings. Maybe Akihabara will entice me.
This laptop cost me less than $500 4 years ago and I've played COD MW2, Batman AA, Fallout 3&NV along with many others, and now Diablo 3. I remember focusing on getting and dedicated GPU, which has paid of massively.
