posted a message on Interview with Alkaizer
Although a cool achievement, I would be interested as to what this guy does for a living and how he keeps a roof over his head. That's really what I wanted to know from the interview. It would also be interesting to see if he can fund himself purely via the RMAH. Going to work 5 days a week/boxing/flesh friends and having a girlfriend (read: life) kind of restricts my 18 hour playing sessions.

I can't believe you guys are taking the troll serious. Are you kids high or something today and not paying attention to the obvious? Holy shit.

qft, just look at the name he picked. The guy has to be laughing his ass off at the number of replies he's getting.

If he's a troll, it's quite an interesting point he's raised, intentionally or unintentionally.

A $250 item always has the potential to become heavily devalued by nerfs. Due dilligence is king I guess.

Are you willing to divulge your career Wambulance? I'm interested in what kind of job gives you this amount of expendable whimsical folly income. I just spent $450 on some decent headphones in a somewhat rash purchase, but I wouldn't even spend $20 on the RMAH and I love Diablo.

I'm a teacher, we can trade job admissions.

I think the arguement that the game falls flat until Inferno is wrong.

I enjoyed the game up until Inferno as the drops could actually be useful and I felt like I was experiencing progression with new levels etc...

If he doesn't enjoy NM then he's going to hate Inferno as it's just a gold grind and thus becomes a time sink with no gratification. Seeing a yellow item drop is not even vaguely exciting, which is so sad for a game that revolves around loot. I am in Inferno act 2 and I haven't seen one item that is useful for my barb.

However, I have hope for future patches, but I haven't played for a while as I don't have the free time to waste running into a brick wall to get gold.

I'm just selling every yellow/purple item I get 2k buyout, they sell fast for 2k otherwise they don't sell at all lol

Yeah, I'm selling my stuff for reasonable prices and it sells. All these big numbers floating around, people are just wasting their listings.

You're installing from files that are on your computer already so the install will go as fast as your computer and hdd's will allow.

I don't think this is tru as my install isn't moving. I have a terrible internet connection at night, so I'm guessing you still need a good stream.

I'm not sure, as I live in Asia I would assume that the servers will be aware that I am in Asia. I can't install the game yet, which is slightly worrying for everyone. I'll keep trying and hopefully I can get in. Otherwise, I'm going to bed.

Hi all, I'm in a bit of a predicament.

I live in Japan at the moment, but I downloaded the EU version (the 7gb one) I was intending on playing on the EU servers as I thought there could be language issues.

Should I download the Korean version (7gb) and then install to play on the Asian servers? I might as well benefit from having an early release, or can I still install and play on the Asian server with the EU version?

My internet is bad so I don't think I can get the 7gb any time soon.

posted a message on Item/Loot Tier drop graphics in beta so far?
I seem to recall Titan Quest showing the actual item on the floor. I guess they were just more advanced back then ;)

It's a minor detail, but it does take away from emersement and undermines the polish of the rest of the game. For a company as big and well funded as Blizzard you would expect small things like this to be covered.

Unfortunately I can't just upgrade my graphics, I have to buy an entire new computer.

I'm a bit of an antisocial gamer because my friends don't like these styles of games and I don't really enjoy teaming up with to begin with because I want to enjoy the story and atmosphere at my own pace.

I'm going to try out the full game and if it's unacceptable then I'll upgrade. I looked at some MSI laptops, they look pretty great, either that or bite the Mac bullet.

Don't forget that the beta is also not optimized yet. The final release product will run even smoother than a beta client.

I was thinking that as well, the servers should be better too. My computer coluld use a reboot also, I'm sure I could squeeze some more performance our of it.

Yeah, I'm sure things will get more intense later on, but it's nice that I can at least play for now. I have to order a laptop to get one with a UK keyboard (easier said than done), plus there is the never ending 'when to buy' situation with the new GPU's coming out.

I think Blizzard have done an awesome job with the game architecture, the lag is still smooth, not choppy or unplayable like with other games. I'm going to test the water before upgrading, I have a trip to Tokyo next week which will wipe out some of my savings. Maybe Akihabara will entice me.

This laptop cost me less than $500 4 years ago and I've played COD MW2, Batman AA, Fallout 3&NV along with many others, and now Diablo 3. I remember focusing on getting and dedicated GPU, which has paid of massively.
