He did answer how many shards he got, that question he'll field. But he can't get himself to answer my question. So goddamn funny.

Bagstone posted a message on Blizzard is gonna get stamped as maker of casual easy games.Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from Sushifrukt»
Most recently I'm talking about giving non-season players access too all the new legendaries. As a gamer who played alot of D2 and LOD. I can say that it's not enough for most to just race for paragon levels or greater rifts.
Sure I could play non-season then. But that doesn't appeal to me.I hear this a lot from season players. Yet, I don't get it. Why does non-season not appeal to you, but at the same time the season-only rewards are not enough for you?
So you don't think the rewards make it worthwhile to play season, but you also don't want to play non-season. Help me out - why do you not like non-season, why do you want to play season?
Season is a game mode that asks players to start over from scratch. Hit the reset button. I hate that. I absolutely despise being forced to start over again and throw away all my progress just because some artificial reset button was pressed. What's the point? And no, it's *not* fun to start over again, I was forced to do this in LoD with all the ladder-only runewords that, for a casual player, made non-ladder worthless.
If you want to start over, play season. If you don't, play non-season. But just because you personally prefer a certain game mode that does not mean that Blizzard needs to screw all those of us over that don't share your opinion and put all the nice and fancy stuff into your game mode. It's like a HC player asking for HC-only items. I never see HC player asking for this, yet they stay in their game mode. What makes season players so unique that they have to have access to all the items and take it away from non-season players?
No, no, no, no, no. I could not disagree more with this thread. Not everyone thinks like you. Diablo is still based on the ARPG genre, and for me an artificial restart has no place here. I payed the same amount of money for the game as you did, so I don't see why you should get significantly more content than me.

ruksak posted a message on Please Blizzard, take seasons seriously.Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from RasAlgethi24»
I care about seasons, and 90% of my friends list does as well. Almost everyone on my friend's list plays seasons.
I'm afraid apathy has blinded so many to the reality that many people do enjoy seasons. I do not, but I approve of seasons, as well as the way they set it up for D3. Much better than the way it worked in D2.
It's hard to ignore, 70% of my F/L are all playing seasons exclusively. I guess some people can't see both sides of things, and if they don't want to play that mode, they don't want it to exist. I don't get the drama. Even people that play non-season exclusively.....we still get new items at the end of every season. The trick is to not care more about what other people are doing than what you're doing, I suppose.

ruksak posted a message on for those complaining about Blizzard seemingly forcing WOW on D3 players.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussionlol.......I can't call it, homie. Can't call it. I don't quite get how Blizzard's existence as a money making entity has anything to do with these such conversations. Blizzard clearly wants D3 to succeed, and if anything, the fact that Blizzard endeavors upon such game creation ventures in order to profit should tell people that Blizz wants the product to be well received.
IMO.......all the dev was trying to do was paint a picture that explains the difference between subscription games and non-subscription games, what people expect from either one and how devs will approach the two differently.

Having a 10 post limit to make a new thread doesn't help a thing. Those bots spam 10 threads/post in no time.. plus, they would just bump other threads with their spam messages (and then make a new thread if the system doesn't recognize them until then). Also, we're banning all of them but they just sign up again and again with random user names. I completely agree with you that this is ridiculous and the current implemented system doesn't seem to be enough... but the "simple solutions" don't work either. After all, bots are smarter than average human posters these days - just imagine CAPTCHAS which can be solved with close to 100% success rate by bots but we humans fail it from time to timePosted in: Site Feedback
As Molster hinted, they're working on a software solution but it's holiday season... nothing happening in the next few days, I'm afraid. -

oh wow you quit. no one cares. cry elsewhere.Quote from BoozeVoodoo»I tried and tried my butt off to try to enjoy D3 as I have been playing Diablo since inception but I could no longer overlook what a terrible waste this game truly is. This is not Diablo, this is a wanna-be Diablo clone. No PvP, no trading, no runewords, DRM crap (Don't tell me this is for pirating issues because I can easily find one with servers) and this is all wrapped up in WoW graphics. I don't understand how there are still millions of players, are they all brand new to Diablo? Are they trying what I did for so long and staying, defending and putting up with this Diablo clone in the desperate hope that it will return to its roots? Sorry for the rant but what an embarrassment D3 is to the franchise.
No wonder Blizzard can throw together a bunch of crap and spoon feed it to their fan boy slaves. Only Blizzard can make a bunch of sub par games and slap a fake triple A across it and their fan base will eat it up no matter how terrible it is.
World of Warcraft: An absolutely terrible game that perfectly utilizes the carrot on the stick mechanic to hook drooling idiots, people with severe ADHD, the introverted and those who have no social life at all.
Hearthstone: A digital card game...enough said.
Heroes of the storm: Lets create a very slow and mind numbingly boring DoTa clone based on all the characters that no one really gives a crap about because we have literally run out of ideas.
StarCraft 2: Just another RTS that only koreans love because Koreans will play anything even to the point of killing themselves by lack of sleep and destroying their kidneys with energy drinks.
Overwatch: Hey look! It is a brand new and invigorating FPS...until you realize that you have played this before in Team Fortress.
Diablo 3: The last bastion of the Blizzard mouth breathers. The loyalty is so strong with the small amount of people that play this game that they secretly have Blizzard tattoos on their bums. They defend this game to the death even though it really isn't a Diablo game but a rip off Diablo clone that has almost been done better on phone games made by gameloft.
Blizzard is dead, activision is the murderer. RIP Diablo, you died in beta.
that aside, i really came here to add that no diablo ever had pvp (i do admit i like going hostile over "brawling" and that its bullshit that blizz promised pvp at d3 launch and never delivered) and runewords came into play VERY VERY late d2.
anyway, take your bitching elsewhere. if you hate d3 so much then SUCKS TO BE YOU for wasting more than a year on it. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I didn't know that about the keywarden positions. That is a great addition to the game.

Just make sure you are clear about the clan plvl cap so people don't get mad if they are informed that they will be removed.

PC or Console?
Answer: My peronsal opinion is PC. Not only can you use it for things outside of gaming, but games allow for more control and you can easily upgrade individual components as needed. I, personally, hate console gaming. I don't like the way the games play and I don't like spending so much money on something that I can't do other stuff with (video editing, e-learning, etc.).
Should I get that local pc?
Hell no. That's a major rip off.
Which processsor/graphics card should I get?
Most games now do not have the CPU as the bottleneck, though D3 leverages a decent chunk of the CPU. If you plan on doing anything like streaming, video encoding, etc., then I would still recommend a quad-core proc over 3GHz. However a good dual-core CPU will do fine for just gaming. Graphics cards depend on the resolution and quality that you want for the game. If you are doing 1080p and want the settings really high, then a GTX 960 or Radeon R9 380 (slightly better #'s than the 960) will do the trick. If you are going beyond that resolution, then I would look into the GTX 970 or R9 390 (or 390X). 4K resolution will probably put you into the ~$600+ cards or SLI/Crossfire realm.
How much memory do I need for my graphics cards?
There have been a good number of benchmarks on this that show you don't get much improvement on 1080p past 2GB (4GB vs 2GB is about 1-3% improvement). If you are playing at a higher resolution, then go for a 4GB card (or higher for 4K).
Should I get an SSD?
Yes. Even if you don't use it for your system drive, putting the games that require quick loading times or high I/O (calculations) on it will greatly improve the experience. Fallout4 and D3 are good examples of those.
What can I get for 800AUD (~575USD)?
That will keep things tighter. Here is a good spec for that price point: http://www.gamersnexus.net/pc-builds/2164-budget-gaming-pc-build-for-fallout-4 The CPU is a dual-core but allows for hyper-threading. You don't get an SSD, but you won't be able to find a good one with decent storage unless you up your budget to allow for it. Also, if you decide to go Crossfire/SLI later, then I recommend you upgrade the power supply to give you more Amps on the 12V rails and put a buffer between your overall system usage and the 80% efficiency mark.
If you can save up to about 975AUD, then you can look at this build too: http://www.gamersnexus.net/pc-builds/2218-mid-range-gaming-pc-build-diy
None of these systems include monitors, keyboards, etc.

In case you don't know how to do what Midknite suggested.
Windows
Ping: Hit Windows+R, type "cmd" then hit enter. Next type in "ping <whatever your target IP or domain is> -n 50" Doing this will help see if there is any packet loss between your system and the target.
Traceroute: In the cmd prompt mentioned above, type in "tracert <your target IP or domain>" This will help you identify if there are issues in the network path to your target.
Mac
Ping: Open the Network Utility (Applications --> Utilities), click Ping, put in the IP or domain that is your target, click Ping.
Traceroute: Open the Network Utility (Applications --> Utilities), click Traceroute, put in the IP or domain that is your target, click Trace.

I agree that it would be nice to know the name of the person who first discovers on those new kinds of builds. That might encourage more people to do theorycrafting.
2
There are a few things that I would like to see further improved (ex. solo play), but the game is light years better from where it started and I appreciate the effort that they are putting into making it great.

I think that adding a lv 50 effect is good. I would like to see the gems be more balanced though. I think all legendary gems should have 1 DPS benefit, 1 survival benefit, and 1 improves a secondary stat. On that note, I would like to see more legendaries that incorporate the use of secondary stats to help change the nature of end game builds.

Holy crap. I was looking for just this thing on the DiabloFans website! Thank you so much for posting this! /sarcasm
I've reported your ass. All of it, including the kitchen sink.

I'm going to laugh my ass of if all they do is walk on stage, announce that season 4 is ending in a few weeks and then go straight to questions from the audience.
