Exactly gain THE item back. The original item, not the same power on any piece of gear. You would gain the item back by infusing a regular item with that power. At least that's my interpretation of it.

That is not infusion, that is extraction.

I just do not get how you assume this from the video.

The video CLEARLY says putting an item IN THE CUBE, and then being able to TAKE IT OUT. Thus you lose the cube power, but gain the item back.

posted a message on D3 on console better than PC?

I do think Console players are more laid back, go with the flow types of people.

PC gamers think they are meta, but usually are just trash, so they then resort to whining about how bad the game is because it is not 100% what they want and easy for them to succeed.

Happens all the time with every PC game on every forum related to that game.

In regards to which is better? I think the console has a better overall feel, but the PC is much more user friendly, and has a higher overall population base, so if you find a good community to run with on PC, life is that much better. I would like the PS4 more if targeting specific mobs was not impossible.

I am not so sure you guys understood correctly what Wyatt said:

    https://youtu.be/z80DRTclTo0?t=788

they wanted to make a recipe that would allow you to RECONSTITUTE item back from the power. Not to infuse some item with different power.

Yup, and this explanation clearly has NOTHING to due with the wording of the datamined string.

The bottom line is that they said they want to add a lot more cube recipes, so I expect to get several in 2017. Potentially a game breaker as well.

Where did they say it? I heard nothing.
"Maybe" is not gonna work here. Maybe we will get a Necromancer somewhere in 2017. Maybe an expansion in 2019. Maybe diablo 4 in 2021. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
Then watch all the interviews again, because you are clearly being selective.

You WANT TO HEAR that this game is dead, so you are doing whatever you can to make sure that happens.

At some point you need to just move on man.

hm I was kinda excited about these changes because I love slaying monsters, that's why I play Diablo, but it's sounding like I interpreted it the wrong way. I was under the assumption there was going to be more overall.

There is, a common trend here is people not understanding what it means to pull and group mobs.

When you run from tile set to tile set, there are now more mobs spread evenly across the floor. This helps maintain buffs for certain classes etc.... Such as movement for Raekor Barb ( I LOVE THAT I CAN CHARGE THROUGH AN ENTIRE RIFT AGAIN WITHOUT ANY REAL ISSUES!!!).

The bottom line is that people who have an issue fight each little mob they see, but that is not optimal.

Optimal is to pull those mobs with you and create a stack in a large area.

That being said, I would love if they removed Area Damage and the game was not about stacking large numbers of creeps together. This would be a solid nerf to all classes that could bring a much higher level of build diversity back into the game. Which would be much welcomed on my end! I do not need big numbers, I just like to do many unique things near the top level of competition, and right now that simply is not possible for most classes.

posted a message on How to survive as a Witch Doctor?

Idk why people have toughness issues with WD. And if you are playing HC, you want to focus on more toughness balance not just glass cannon.

That means you use serpent as your mojo

Travelers Pledge as your ammy and ring

ALWAYS HAVE 10 stacks of soul harvest up (Languish rune)

Make sure your gear has a lot of LPH for your zombie dogs and use the life per hit rune.

It is okay to sacrafice the attack speed of Tasker and Theo for more defense such as string of ears in the cube.

MOST IMPORTANT, USE SPIRIT VESSEL, LEARN WHEN YOU GET CLOSE TO DYING, AND FIND A SAFE PLACE.

Always fight the RG in Hardcore near a doorway to another floor to reset your cheat death proc, ALWAYS!

Those are just a few suggestions, but the point of HC is to find a happy medium between DPS and Survival. Which to me is a great thing about the game mode, and once they fix some of the server issues on my end, a mode I am going to be jumping back into (Now that I got my stash tabs with no worry of death in the process).

I don't know if there's been any new data mine, but we should take data mined info with a grain of salt anyways. That recipe that was data mined may be the one Wyatt said was pulled for all we know.

I hope not, I think would be great if we could put powers on different items.

Well, if it was, than the Dev crew is more stupid than we thought. Because "infusion" relates to absolutely NOTHING that he talked about with that Cubed power.

The bottom line is that they said they want to add a lot more cube recipes, so I expect to get several in 2017. Potentially a game breaker as well.

I'm not to sure there is going to be any new Kanai cube recipe, the new patch notes released yesterday are no longer showing any mention of it at all. It would be awesome though if it was implemented.

Is there a new datamine out as well? That is where the information was.

I really cannot wait to get some information on this new cube recipe.

They said they have a ton of ideas, scrapped most, but are looking to implement a few. So this could be remnants of a failed attempt, or something revolutionary to the game.

The word infusion would lead me to believe that you can put legendary powers of one item on ANY ITEM OF YOUR CHOOSING. I would think this means they will make the power unique to equip, so you cannot stack one insane buff.

That being said, being able to infuse a legendary power onto a pair of shoulders that just is not quite helpful for you build would be amazing! It can really open up some unique gearing options.

Being forced to skilp elites you can't kill because it would take 5 minutes without density is not good for gameplay . I'm also speaking only to high leaderboard pushing ... These GR changes will not effect ll players who run lower GR since elites and trash die quickly anyway .

The point is that people skipped 50% of maps until they found a massive density location.

That is not possible anymore, and that is a good thing. This will not affect the lowbies as you said, but it will not hurt the top end either.

Finally, you need to use skill to CREATE Density! Dev Crew, please continue to make more changes that reflect the skill of players, thanks and have a good day!!!!

An eventual Act 6 would most certainly not be centre element to charge for.

    See Reaper of Souls:

The Main element - that totally changed the game was adding a completely new game mode with "Adventure Mode".

At least half of the expansion's price has to be tagged to that. A new class and/or a new act are FAR less work.

That's why we will only get a class pack btw (small team now!)

At the current status there is only a very small chance that we will still get the once planned 2nd expansion - unfortunately.

Because i am sure there is still a huge demand for NEW; FRESH CONTENT - and not continue playing the same (G)rifts over and over again just with a new class or classes.

What we really need has to be shaking up the gameplay thus breathing fresh air into the game and this can only be achived with a totally new 3rd gamemode whatever that might be.

Though I definately would prefer a physical release I won't be unhappy with a BIIIIG expansion-like DLC.

I am wondering if they are hoping this legendary infusion thing can achieve that.

Being able to take base legendary abilities and put them on another item of choice is a unique way to open up several gear slots, depending on how it is designed.

Regarding the Extraction of a Legendary item from a cube, I am happy they are removing that. That being said, how can they not tweak the formula to just make it NEVER give an Ancient of that item? Either way, it seemed pointless, because the argument was wanting to cube an item asap, but when you get a perfect rolled item, you are going to keep it and collect another to cube, so it is very redundant and a waste of resources when compared to normal stash space.

    DLC is the future.

So again, yes, story will at some point be tied to it. A DLC is not any different than an Expansion. It simply forces everyone to go digital with the purchase.

I think the Druid will come with an Act 6 Skovos pack tbh.

I also believe that Druid will be the next one but do you honestly think that the main story would continue within a DLC? I would think story won't continue without cinematics and if they really had Act 6 + Druid + cinematics, isn't it very close to an epansion. Personally I've lost most my belief for story to continue within D3 after silence in Blizzcon.
Although they did upgrade the graphics engine.
I do not see why not, because everything now is digital download anyways. Thus a pack, DLC, expansion, whatever you want to call it, it all does the same thing, which is add content to the game.

Maybe it will not be labeled "Act 6" but I could see it being FAR MORE IMMERSIVE than our two most recent zones. Meaning I can see it have 15-20 random quests, as well as a boss to hunt down within the zone.

I don't really know why they would make Belial transition faster if they are going to release this patch after Season 8 ends.

Likely because they realized how bad it was with all the complaints about that step in the journey.

So when they have Belial kills in the future, it does not become such an issue.
