Earlier today, Blizzard informed us of the new Diablo-related material that SteelSeries has planned.

Diablo: Looks like @SteelSeries announced their Diablo III mouse and headset earlier today, and like Diablo III: No release date. http://ow.ly/5bz6P
As you can see, they are currently only looking at a Mouse and a Headset to go along with their 2 previous mousepads (Witch Doctor and Barbarian), with no sign of a D3 Keyboard this time around. The Mouse sports an ambidextrous style, so it can be used by both lefties and righties, as well as some other cool features, like 7 programmable buttons, a CPI switch (Counts Per Inch), a plusating D3 logo, and better life support than any other mouse. They haven't set a price for the Mouse, but the recent WoW: Cataclysm mouse they released is currently going for $100. The Headset, on the other hand, also sports that same Demonic Red coloring and illumination, but also has an equalizer, a built-in microphone, and noise reduction abilities. Like the Mouse (and Diablo 3, as Bashiok so bluntly stated), the Headset has no current price or release date, but I'm going to guess that the Headset will go for something around $80.
These items are a must have for any hardcore Diablo fan, or anyone looking for some cool Diablo-related gear to game with.
I honestly don't trust SS with anything but their mouse pads. I blew out a speaker on my Siberia V2's, which are what those headsets are just with different designs, just listening to music. Their mice are meh and could be better. I would've rather seen them stick with Razer for this. But the mouse pads I'm only upset about the fact theres no Wizard or Demon Hunter, Whats up with that? I want a Wizard Qck so bad but they only have Wd and Barb.

They look cool but id rather stick with my turtle beach head phones and my nice logitech G500 that has served me so well. I like the mousepads but wont buy one until i see a wizard stamped on one, which id expect when they release them.
Not bad, though honestly I am not sold on them. If I were to pick a gaming mouse and keyboard right now for Diablo (or in general) they'd be the Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard, and the Razer Naga Epic Gaming Mouse. Though there's no D3 keyboard to compare yet, mouse wise the Nage Epic offers much more if you're willing to go the extra mile in price. If LEDs suit your fancy both products I linked can be programmed to any color you want, (The G19 has extensive color programming, as seen in Chilli Frilla's review starting at 7:22) and the Nage Epic has more programmable buttons than most will know what to do with. The headset can't be judged to much until we get some first hand reviews of it, I have my doubts though.
While the Diablo 3 theme is neat, it doesn't have me sold.

Oh look that barbarian mousepad's art looks very familiar, hmm =D

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.

I have a Naga epic. Its beastly and i love it. And I have used the Siberia V2's they were sort of tinny, but overall nice. At max it wasn't really that high and when i played slipknot at max i blew out my right speaker so I don't trust Steel Series with headsets. I have Megalodons, 7.1 surround sound and they are amazing max volume is loud the mics amazing and it is just and overall well made headset. You can adjust how much bass and how much you want each set of speakers to play at different volumes.

I'm really fond of the Red LCD on the mouse. I might get the mouse & pad just for the Diablo 3 factor and i'm sure both of these items are better than what I have now.
The mouse look like a very cheap clone of something else, a gold-digger product. In my eyes it only have one effect; glowing Diablo 3 Logo. Thats about it, my ordinary mouse have same features and its a Razor for like 10 dollars.
The headset? Don't need!
I guess I'm not THAT hardcore of a Diablo fan after all, being "meh" about these products, is it just me?

Glad to hear it, I could see it being perfect for Diablo since the only time you'd have to use a keyboard would be for chatting. Plus the multi color LEDs are pretty sweet..

I dunno about the mouse. Looks lame. I've been using an 8-year old MS 4 button mouse forever, and not willing to give more than $30 or so for a new one...

Siberia have better specs speaker wise and cost much less than the Megalodons.
I've heard some issues about maxed out sound being too quiet, but not about speakers blowing. I think you had some bad luck there.
Too expensive I think. I mean they are probably good quality, but the extra cost is really just for the D3 branding. You can get a good gaming mouse for $50 that works as good or better. You don't really need gaming quality equipment for D3 though. It's not an ultra competitive game like SC2 where you might need it to compete. (Even in SC2 you can do a lot without the best equipment.)

Yup, not good enough.
